CZZS is putting all legal efforts on challenging illegal concession granting for geological survey and coal exploitation in the City of Prijedor.
Currently, while a Court case against the Republika Srpska Government and criminal charges are pending, the Local Assembly urged the relevant RS institutions to halt the ongoing excavation in the village of Bistrica. Meanwhile, the residents of Bistrica village have self-organised and are currently blocking the acces road to the location of mining targeted by a private company. CZZS provides legal and logistical support to two local comunities (Bistrica and Bukova kosa), and the cases have been picked up by local and regional media.
