Justice and Environment (Network of European Environmental Law Organizations) established in 12 countries of Europe is searching for a young and dynamic person to act as fundraiser for the organization.

Tasks:

Finding sources:

• Looking for grant opportunities in the area of environmental law from public and private institutions.
• Searching donor websites regularly for appropriate funding.
• Asking potential donors for more grant information if required.
• Visiting donor orientation meetings (travel costs covered).
• Keep up-to-dated database of possible donors with appropriate details.
• Cooperation and reporting on funding sources to the management of J&E.

Proposal writing:

• Coordination of the proposal writing process, i.e.:
  • Identifying fundraising opportunities in cooperation with the coordinator of J&E.
  • Creating a timeline for the proposal writing and ensuring this is followed by the project writing team.
  • Collecting input for the proposal.
  • Checking formal conformity with the requirements applicable to proposals.
  • Submitting the proposals.
• Follow-up communication with the manager of grants, if necessary.

Skills required:

• A university degree in or prior experience with fundraising.
• Active knowledge of English (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of MS Office and other office software.

Advantages:

• Experience, preferably in a similar position in a NGO or a company.
• Understanding of the non-profit sector.
• Background in environmental protection, management or law.

Offered:

• Travel costs and per diem covered in case of work related travel approved by ExComm of J&E.
• Flexible part-time work with a starting salary of 800 Euros a month.
• Salary and working hours are subject to increase in case of successful performance.
• No extra payments on successful fundraising.
