Member organization representatives, staff members as well as a guest representing DG ENVIRONMENT of the Commission will arrive on the 24th of September at Budapest from 12 countries to participate at the Annual General Meeting of J&E in Hotel Arena.

 The major themes to discuss will be

• What have we accomplished?
• Where do we want to go?
• What do we have to do?

During the AGM, internal legal capacity building training sessions will be followed by skill building exercises and strategic discussions.

During the session on access rights, member NGOs of J&E will discuss recent developments and possible ways forward on access to justice in environmental matters, including ideas put forward in the recent Commission Communication on implementation of environmental law, with the involvement of a representative from the Commission.

Eventually, the AGM will be closed with a formal voting segment and an Executive Committee meeting. The AGM of J&E is funded by the European Union LIFE+ grant and the Central European Initiative.
